When a business wants to discuss employee benefits, we start with a call to determine what, if anything, they currently have in place and what they are looking for. I then ask them to complete a census and provide a blank template with all the required sections. To begin the process, I need at least each employee’s date of birth and home ZIP code.
I gather quotes from multiple carriers, which can take a few days, and prepare a comparison spreadsheet for each carrier and plan. Once we review the options and select a carrier, we narrow down the plan choices. There are typically more than 40 plan options available, so I work with the business to clarify their goals and priorities and present a few strong, well-matched options.
